Like my dad used to say, it’s a three-legged stool. Get these right and you have a winning organization. Cheat any one of them, and you lose your stability. Lose any one of them, and the whole stool falls down. In short, LES is more… get it? (And yes, that was my 14-year-old rolling her eyes at my corny self.) The perfect balance is simple and elegant but incredibly elusive.
Piers Bocock and I co-founded Acute Incite to tackle these very specific areas in growing organizations. We’ve had our fair share of bumps and bruises, failed ventures and highly successful ones. We’ve worked with ambitious generals driven to make their mark, with idealistic entrepreneurs committed to making the world bend to their vision, and with dedicated leaders tirelessly working their organizations. We’ve had some great experiences, for sure. But we are consistently humbled by the energy and passion that effective, inspiring leaders have for their organizations.
